Qualifications

• Twelve months RN experience in a healthcare setting.
• Texas State RN licensure with permanent license within 60 days (if establishing Texas residency).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications or eligibility (AHA).
• NIHSS Stroke Certification and CPI/Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing assessments and direct patient care.
• Maintains and documents patient medical records and education.
• Demonstrates leadership as charge nurse or preceptor when assigned and participates in unit governance.
• Collaborates with physicians and interprofessional team to ensure compassionate, efficient, high-quality care.
