Job summary

Hologic, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Mechanic 3 to support San Diego manufacturing operations.

You will implement and maintain an engineering change order system, perform repairs, and support new product releases. The role involves maintaining lyophilizers, liquid fillers, labeling and packaging lines, water systems, and related equipment with hands-on troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic domains.

Qualifications

• Experience in GMP environments preferred.
• Ability to diagnose advanced mechanical, electrical and pneumatic problems.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on manufacturing equipment (lyophilizers, liquid fillers, labeling, packaging, water systems).
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Install electrical power and pneumatic distribution hardware.
• Coordinate with vendors for parts and costs; procure parts as needed.
• Travel between Hologic facilities for equipment maintenance; weekends/shifts may be required.
