Job summary

Consumers Energy in Michigan seeks a Principal EPC Project Manager to oversee highly complex Renewables, Electric Distribution, Generation and/or Gas projects, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery. You will lead large project teams of employees and contractors from planning through commercial operations.

You will manage contracts, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, monitor KPIs, and maintain strong relationships with customers, regulators and stakeholders while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Applied Engineering or relevant field with 7 years of applied engineering or equivalent experience.
• Associate's Degree in Applied Engineering or relevant field with 9 years of applied engineering or equivalent experience.
• High School Diploma with 11 years of applied engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead large cross-functional project teams to plan, design, procure, construct and commission utility projects.
• Prepare monthly, annual and project forecasts; manage budgets and cost reconciliation.
• Develop and implement cross-functional processes for performance improvements and problem solving.
• Communicate with stakeholders, regulators and customers; manage project communications and issue resolution.
• Establish procurement strategies and contract management to optimize financial performance and mitigate risk.
• Apply PMI project lifecycle practices and risk mitigation techniques to achieve scope, cost, schedule and safety goals.
