Job summary

ARKA Group L.P. seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to lead EO systems development for space environments. You will manage requirements, provide technical oversight for internal and subcontracted designs, and verify systems throughout the product lifecycle.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in systems engineering, experience with FPGAs/embedded processors, and familiarity with aerospace protocols. A TS/SCI clearance is typical for this team, with comprehensive benefits to support ongoing program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 10+ years of systems engineering experience across the product lifecycle.
• Experience with EO/space, airborne, and terrestrial systems.
• Experience with digital control systems using FPGAs and embedded processors.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-1553, RS-422, Ethernet, and SpaceWire.

Responsibilities

• Establish program plans with tasks, trade studies, modeling and risk management.
• Review and decompose customer requirements; develop flow-downs and interface specs.
• Develop verification matrices, plans, test requirements, and sell-off materials.
• Evaluate work, provide direction, and ensure program execution.
• Prepare SOWs and performance specifications for subcontracted items.
