Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense in Wilsonville, OR is seeking a Senior EO/IR Systems Engineer to lead and contribute to complex EO/IR payload development, integration, and DVT planning for airborne and ground surveillance systems.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of direct EO/IR imaging design experience, strong system integration skills, and a deep understanding of VIS/NIR/SWIR/MWIR/LWIR optics. DoD/Space program experience and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance are a plus.

Qualifications

• Education in Optical or Electronic Engineering at least BS level.
• 7+ years of EO/SWIR/IR optical design and imaging system experience.
• Strong knowledge of VIS/NIR/SWIR/MWIR/LWIR optics and sensors.
• Experience with system integration and DVT planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to optical subsystem payload development and integration into gimbal systems.
• Perform optical design and radiometric analysis for EO/IR payloads.
• Create DVT plans and acceptance test procedures for sensors and systems.
• Support manufacturing and provide feedback on design for manufacturability.
