Job summary

Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Scientist III to support environmental projects through field and office activities including data collection and analysis.

You will independently apply methodologies, provide technical expertise, and contribute to delivery of complex projects across diverse environmental disciplines. Responsibilities include field visits, data validation, report drafting, and coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6-8 years of relevant environmental or related experience.
• Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and field data collection tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork including site visits, inspections, monitoring, and data collection activities.
• Evaluate and interpret environmental conditions, project activities, and compliance status.
• Lead or support implementation of environmental requirements, permits, and protection measures.
• Oversee collection, management, and validation of field data and project documentation.
• Prepare and review reports, logs, and technical documentation to support project deliverables.
• Provide advanced research, data analysis, and technical evaluations for environmental and regulatory projects.
• Manage multiple projects or major project components, including scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Coordinate and communicate with team members, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Apply and adapt standard methodologies, techniques, and procedures to meet project needs.
• Identify issues, recommend solutions, and support problem-solving on complex assignments.
• Provide technical guidance and review work of less experienced staff.
• Utilize field equipment, technology, and software to support data collection and reporting.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.
• Draft engineering plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Assist in engineering planning, design, and construction of conservation practices.
• Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright's and Eocene Environmental Group's culture of safety and employee ownership.
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follow all company policies and procedures.
