Job summary

The Vertex Companies LLC seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead regional remediation and regulatory compliance in the NY/NJ markets. You will manage complex environmental projects, coach consultants, and collaborate with clients to drive performance and growth.

Role requires strong engineering, technical and business development skills, plus experience with NYSDEC/NYCDEP projects. Travel to client sites is expected as needed, with a focus on delivering high-quality, on-time results.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8+ years of related experience.
• PE in NY and/or NJ is required; willingness to obtain licenses in other states.
• Experience with NYSDEC, NYSDEC Brownfield Cleanup Program, NYCOER and related programs.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to meet milestones, budget, deadlines, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage project staff and subcontractors.
• Prepare NJDEP, NYSDEC, and NYCDEP project deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality work.
• Engage with clients to procure work and support business development.
