Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Environmental Planner/Senior Siting Specialist to lead siting and routing studies for energy projects across Ohio and neighboring states. You will gather data, prepare maps, and document findings for client and regulatory audiences.

Travel for site visits and public meetings is expected as part of project work. The role emphasizes strong technical writing, clear communication, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver defensible reports and regulatory

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in siting and routing studies and analyses.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Geology.
  • Familiarity with PJM, MISO and other regional transmission boards.
  • Excellent technical writing, clear communication, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and lead siting and routing studies for energy projects in Ohio and surrounding states.
  • Gather background data, prepare siting maps, and document findings for clients/authorities.
  • Liaise with government agencies, clients, and team members.
  • Support siting reports and state filing components for public utility applications.
  • Travel for site visits and public meetings as needed.
