We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Environmental Planner/Energy Project Manager to join our growing Energy Practice in California. We are seeking an experienced environmental consulting professional with expertise in CEQA compliance, land use entitlement, and environmental permitting, combined with strong project management, client relationship, and leadership skills. In this role, you will help guide some of California’s most complex renewable energy, energy storage, and grid modernization projects from early development through permitting and approval.
Our Energy team partners with leading renewable energy developers, utilities, and infrastructure providers to advance projects that support California’s energy transition and long-term grid reliability. Beyond delivering exceptional client service and technical excellence, you will help foster a collaborative culture focused on professional growth, innovation, mentorship, and continuous improvement, while contributing to the growth and success of Rincon’s Energy Practice.
This role may offer a hybrid work setup, blending time in the office with remote work as business needs evolve. We enjoy coming together in person to collaborate, connect with teammates, and partner with clients, and may prioritize candidates who live within 50 miles of a Rincon office, but we are open to considering California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington-based applicants.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000–$155,000, plus a generous benefits program. Salary ranges are based on the market median of similar jobs, according to third-party salary benchmark surveys. Base pay is determined based on internal equity and a candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
