Job summary

Constellation is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to provide technical, regulatory and programmatic direction on environmental issues for Power. You will manage licensing, permitting and filings across air, water, waste and related programs, ensuring strict regulatory compliance while supporting EMS ISO 14001 activities.

Responsibilities include preparing permit applications, responding to agency inquiries, and developing site environmental performance metrics, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, natural or physical sciences, or environmental science or related program with 5 years related experience.
• Associate's degree in engineering, natural or physical sciences, or environmental science or related program with 7 years related experience.
• High school diploma/GED with 9 years experience
• Maintain minimum access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
• Experience with federal, state and local environmental rules and regulations and their implementation requirements
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit permit applications, review drafts, prepare comments and negotiate final permits.
• Prepare, review and submit agency reports and filings, and respond to agency inquiries.
• Comment on proposed regulations applying strong analytical skills.
• Provide facility advice, develop and implement environmental strategies, prepare and issue regulatory interpretations related to area of subject matter expertise (air, water, waste etc.)
• Provide technical and regulatory support and expertise to environmentally related projects and programs to assure compliance with all appropriate environmental regulations.
• Develop and track site level environmental performance.
• Review and update the Management Model related to area of subject matter expertise (air, water, waste, etc.)
