Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking Senior Environmental Inspectors for future project opportunities across the United States. These roles support environmental compliance and monitoring on infrastructure, energy, and construction projects nationwide.

This posting builds a candidate pipeline; timing and location vary by client needs. Project work includes managing environmental inspections, erosion control, and BMPs, with field duties requiring GPS and topographic mapping.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in environmental consulting inspection of linear construction projects.
• Able to inspect right-of-way and associated facilities.
• Familiar with soil erosion control and BMP installation and maintenance.
• Familiar with agricultural mitigation plans/drain tile repair.
• Able to work in remote areas, use ATVs or other four-wheel drive type vehicles.
• Must have valid driver's license and able to meet SWCA's driver requirements and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple regular environmental inspections, reviewing daily reports.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations for linear construction activities.
• Participate in projects across various sectors including land management, oil & gas, transportation, water resources, and renewable energy.
• Supervise installation and maintenance of BMPs, erosion control devices, and exclusion areas during construction.
• Utilize topographic maps, GPS units, and aerial photographs in the field.
• Prioritize team safety, develop safety plans when applicable, and identify potential hazards.
