Job summary

Onterris in Tampa, FL seeks a Senior Environmental Engineer to serve as a Project Manager for environmental projects including water quality, stormwater, groundwater and soil remediation. Candidate will lead teams, coordinate field work at client sites and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Petroleum site assessment/remediation experience desired. The role offers a salary range of $125,000 to $165,000, commensurate with experience, with travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering from an accredited program.
• PE license required.
• 8+ years of environmental engineering experience.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• FDEP Petroleum Restoration Program experience preferred.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER preferred.
• Travel up to 5% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Works effectively, both independently and in a team setting.
• Conducts field work at client sites to collect groundwater and soil data.
• Leads data collection efforts and research of projects as requested by project managers.
• Prepares environmental compliance documents, permits, plans, and procedures.
• Knowledgeable of regulatory standards in environmental technical areas.
• Interacts with customers and clients.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Exercises safe work practices by following all safety rules and training.
• Supports continuous improvement programs and team efforts.
• Keeps up-to-date on industry trends through training and publications.
• Supports business development activities including proposals and client expansion.
