Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks an experienced Sr. Environmental Engineer (AI Supercomputer) to support Memphis-area AI infrastructure.

You will lead environmental programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and enable rapid scaling of compute capacity while mitigating environmental risks. The role requires 5+ years in environmental and regulatory compliance, with a strong background in air permitting, water usage, wastewater, SWPPP/SPCC, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in the design, development, and execution of environmental and regulatory compliance programs.
• Experience working multi-site operations.
• Strong knowledge of Tennessee and federal environmental regulations, particularly air permitting and wastewater management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement environmental programs at Memphis-area facilities.
• Maintain EPA, TNDEP, Shelby County, and others regulatory compliance.
• Track and interpret new environmental laws and provide guidance to management.
• Perform environmental audits to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Maintain the site’s SWPPP, SPCC, and related regulatory plans.
• Oversee air compliance, hazardous waste management, and wastewater permits.
• Coordinate permitting and environmental testing with contractors.
• Support the Environmental Health and Safety team as needed.
• Plan changes in facilities and equipment to meet permitting requirements.
• Develop relationships with regulators and engineering teams.
