Job summary

Foster Farms in Livingston, CA is seeking an Environmental Compliance Manager to oversee the Environmental Management System across the Livingston Complex, including processing plants, rendering operations, distribution centers, truck shop, hatchery, feed mill, and live ranches.

The role partners with operations leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous environmental performance improvements.

Qualifications

Five (5) years of experience in environmental compliance, environmental management, manufacturing operations, or related environmental role.
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Oversee environmental programs compliance including major acts (CAA, CWA, CERCLA, RCRA, OPA, SDWA).
Prepare and submit regulatory reports and maintain required filings.
Monitor site performance and provide guidance to leadership on regulatory compliance.
Provide environmental training to site leadership and associates.
Manage external contractors to ensure regulatory and company compliance.
Build relationships with plant personnel to mitigate environmental risks.
Lead environmental risk assessments, audits, and compliance reviews.
Maintain LOCUS compliance databases for facilities.
Coordinate with management on waste water requirements and permit compliance.
Support continuous improvements in environmental standards and training.
