Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 8+ years of environmental experience for Environmental Specialist IV.
• Experience developing and implementing environmental compliance programs for major infrastructure or energy projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in interpreting permit conditions, regulatory requirements, and environmental commitments.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, improves, and provides guidance on environmental compliance processes, procedures, plans, and tools.
• Interprets permit conditions, regulatory requirements, and environmental commitments and converts them into clear project and contractor compliance obligations.
• Coordinates environmental compliance planning, scheduling, and cost estimating, including inspections, monitoring, reporting, training, and recordkeeping.
• Works with project teams, contractors, consultants, and field personnel to verify compliance performance, resolve issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Leads environmental compliance programs or projects with significant risk and complexity; supports agency coordination, audits, incident response, and operational handoff.
• Other duties as assigned.
