Job summary

Duke Energy in Greensboro, NC seeks an Engineering Technologist to provide technical and regulatory support for environmental compliance at generating facilities in the Carolinas. Focus areas include CEMS, stack tests, and regulatory reporting.

You will work with data systems, coordinate tests, and help develop procedures to ensure safety and compliance while collaborating across operations and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering Technologist III requires an Associate degree in Engineering Technology with 5 years of related experience.
• Senior Engineering Technologist requires an Associate degree in Engineering Technology with 8 years of related experience.
• In lieu of an Associate degree, High School/GED with 9–12 years of related experience may be considered.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology is desired.

Responsibilities

• Safely support environmental regulatory compliance for electric generating facilities in the Carolinas service area.
• Provide technical expertise on EPA test methods and various CEMS/MCEMS systems.
• Develop and maintain procedures to help facilities comply with environmental laws and regulations.
• Represent Duke Energy on internal/external industry committees and teams.
• Track regulatory changes and update facility regulatory plans and documents.
