Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Environmental Air Quality Modeler to join our Environmental Team. Lead air quality permitting, modeling, and regulatory compliance for industrial clients across the United States, leveraging sophisticated dispersion modeling and data analysis.

The role emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, strong client service, and mentoring of junior staff, with base in Columbus, OH preferred but open to other US offices.

Qualifications

• > Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 5+ years in air quality permitting and environmental consulting.
• > Experience with air dispersion modeling and NSR/PSD/Title V permitting.
• > Proficiency in interpreting federal/state regulations and providing strategic client guidance.
• > Strong writing, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• > Lead and support air quality permitting, compliance, and regulatory projects for industrial clients.
• > Prepare NSR, PSD, and other permit applications.
• > Conduct air dispersion modeling using AERMOD and other platforms.
• > Perform emissions inventories and regulatory analyses.
• > Prepare compliance reports and regulatory documentation.
• > Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development.
• > Manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and client relationships.
