Job summary

High Point University is seeking a faculty member to teach in the Entrepreneurship program. The candidate will have at least 10 years of entrepreneurial experience and possess a PhD in Entrepreneurship or Business and/or a Master's Degree in Business or another relevant major.

The role includes teaching undergraduate courses, advising, and university service, with a 9-month contract and potential summer teaching.

Qualifications

• 10 years of Professional Entrepreneurial experience or equivalent experience in business start-ups and growth.
• University-level teaching experience is highly preferred but not required.
• Education: A PhD in Entrepreneurship or Business and/or master's degree in business or other relevant major with extensive professional experience (10 years) in Entrepreneurship and/or Entrepreneurial Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues across campus for curriculum design and delivery.
• Provide mentorship and advisement for students in and beyond the classroom.
• Communicate teaching and research activities through frequent and effective communication with the department chair.
• Maintain a professional development program or active research portfolio.
• Act as a representative and advocate for the program, school, and the university.
• Actively participate in committees within the department, school, and university, as well as the community in professional and governmental organizations.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the department chair.
