Job summary

NiSource Inc. is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to lead architecture across Security and other domains.

You will collaborate with Application Development, Infrastructure, Data & Analytics, and PMO to shape vision, standards, and roadmaps while guiding solution designs and governance across the organization. The role emphasizes transforming business needs into architectural strategies, with senior leadership and mentoring responsibilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
10+ years of enterprise-wide architecture experience with strong security focus.
Experience in security architecture design, risk management, and incident response.
Knowledge of emerging threats and security standards.
Experience mentoring other architects.
Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001.
Certifications such as CISSP or CISM valued.
Experience with on-prem and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
Strong API-first design knowledge and cross-domain architecture.
Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

Provide senior level direction on enterprise architecture to support business strategy.
Translate requirements into architecture blueprints and high-level designs.
Define strategy and roadmaps across technology domains.
Review and design standard software/hardware configurations and options.
Lead governance processes like Architecture Review Boards and solution reviews.
Research and deliver innovative architecture solutions aligned with business goals.
