Job summary

Clio is seeking a Senior Product Designer for its Enterprise team to verticalize its enterprise products (Vincent and Operate) into specialized domains. The role focuses on AI-driven workflows and collaborating with architects and stakeholders to shape product direction.

We welcome candidates in the US or Canada (excluding Quebec), with a preference for East Coast-based applicants. If near NYC/Toronto, expect to be in the office at least twice weekly on Anchor Days.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in product design.
• Experience designing for complex, information-dense environments including knowledge management, research, or discovery products.
• A track record of shipping products that solve research or information workflow challenges and move company metrics.
• Proficiency in user research methodologies and the ability to translate findings into actionable design insights.
• Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, usability, and accessibility.
• Experience with modern design tools (Figma, Figma Make) and willingness to adopt new tools as needed.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile product development environment.
• Experience working on complex systems with large datasets, structured content, or AI-generated outputs.
• A keen interest in improving your craft using AI.

Responsibilities

• Design AI-driven workflows for Finance, IP, Employment/Labour, and Insurance Defense.
• Partner with legal architects and stakeholders to validate workflows.
• Own problem definition, prioritization, and product direction with cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate existing capabilities and decide what to adapt for Vincent to strengthen verticals.
• Prototype and deliver design solutions for corporate in-house counsel alongside law-firm users.
• Conduct user research interviews and usability testing for employment and insurance practitioners.
• Use metrics to drive design decisions and measure success.
• Contribute to design critiques and share feedback with the team.
• Evolve design patterns and systems for complex information architecture at scale.
• Demonstrate a keen interest in improving craft using AI.
• Break down complex legal concepts into design problems.
• Additional duties as required.
