Job summary

A national consulting solutions provider is seeking a Network Engineer Consultant to support high-tech clients in maintaining their enterprise network infrastructure. The role involves hands-on technical expertise in designing and optimizing networks while ensuring maximum performance and security. Candidates should have over 7 years of experience, especially with Cisco and Palo Alto systems. This is a 6-month contract with benefits including medical and 401(k).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or equivalent role supporting large enterprise environments.
• Advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
• Strong experience with firewalls, VPN, load balancing, and wireless networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, VLAN, and wireless networks.
• Configure and support firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and related network security solutions.
• Monitor and analyze network performance to identify and resolve bottlenecks.

Routing and switching protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)

Firewalls, VPN, load balancing

Cisco devices (Nexus 7k/9k, Catalyst, Meraki)
