Job summary

PSEG Long Island LLC is seeking an IT Engineer to drive engineering efforts and support network operations across enterprise IT/OT environments. You will contribute to high-level design documentation, topology drawings, and testing of new technologies, reporting to the Technology Group Product Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional technology solution engineering.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical designs while following standards.
• Diverse experience in network/systems/security design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design, configuration, development, and testing of enterprise LAN/WAN/datacenter/network security solutions.
• Provide advanced hands-on support for Cisco routing, switching, and security.
• Support network segmentation, VLAN/VRF, firewall enforcements, ACLs, NAC and Zero Trust controls.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, configurations, SOPs, implementation plans and troubleshooting procedures.
• Ensure devices comply with security standards and configuration baselines.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams to ensure integration and performance.
• Peer review of designs, implementation plans, configurations, and artifacts.
• Work with IT Product teams through development, testing and implementation lifecycle.
