Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Enterprise Engineer to own Salesforce design and delivery across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, delivering scalable CRM and billing integrations. You will collaborate with Sales Ops, Account Management, Billing, and Institutional Ops to unlock revenue and improve forecasting.

You will also mentor junior engineers and help establish auditable processes, with emphasis on security and scalable architecture. This is a remote-first role with quarterly in-person surges.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Salesforce development experience (Apex, LWC, Flows, security/sharing, packaging).
• Proven track record building integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST APIs.
• Experience writing technical design documents for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals applied within Salesforce ecosystem.
• Familiar with modern engineering practices including AI-assisted tools, Git/GitHub, CI/CD, multi-sandbox mgmt.
• Ability to use generative AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency and quality.

The Enterprise Applications & Architecture (EAA) team within Platform is the primary engineering partner for the Sales, Trading, and Prime (STP) business, building and operating Salesforce capabilities that power institutional sales, account management, and billing workflows. As a Senior Enterprise Engineer on this team, you'll design and deliver scalable, secure CRM and billing solutions while integrating Salesforce with pricing, contracting, and downstream finance systems. You'll join a small, high-ownership engineering team that partners closely with Sales Operations, Account Management, Billing, and Institutional Operations to unlock revenue, improve forecasting, and create resilient, auditable processes.

What you'll do:

• Own end-to-end Salesforce solution design and delivery using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and managed packages across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud


• Build and operate integrations between Salesforce and internal platforms using REST APIs, Platform Events, middleware, ETL tooling, and contracting systems (e.g., Ironclad)


• Author technical design documents that account for security, data architecture, system limits, and scalability


• Partner with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders (Sales, Legal, Compliance, Institutional Ops) to translate requirements into technical designs and implementation plans


• Drive engineering quality through code reviews, design reviews, on-call rotations, root cause analysis, and documentation of patterns and runbooks


• Mentor junior engineers on Salesforce engineering best practices, raising the bar for the broader Salesforce ecosystem at Coinbase

Required Skills and Experience:

• 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, LWC, Flows, security/sharing model, packaging, and release management) with demonstrated delivery of complex solutions in Sales Cloud or Service Cloud


• Proven track record building and operating integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST APIs, Platform Events, middleware/automation platforms, and ETL tooling


• Experience writing technical design documents and presenting trade-off analyses to cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, Legal, Finance, and Engineering


• Solid foundation in software engineering fundamentals (testable architectures, separation of concerns, performance/scalability patterns) applied within the Salesforce ecosystem


• Familiarity with modern engineering practices including AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor), Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and multi-sandbox environment management


• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.


• Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human-in-the-loop practices to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.

Pay Transparency Notice:

Base salary varies by location (see range below). Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): $186,960 - 196,800 USD
