Job summary

Esri is seeking a Technical Consultant, Enterprise Data Engineer to design and implement scalable geospatial data platforms for Defense and Intelligence operations. You will work with customers to architect data solutions that integrate, manage, and optimize complex datasets across secure environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in database design, administration and optimization.
• Scripting skills in SQL and Python for automation and data workflows.
• Exposure to geospatial concepts, spatial data types, and indexing.
• U.S. citizenship with an active or current top-secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or related STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database solutions for mission-critical apps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through requirements, design, build, and deployment.
• Configure and maintain database environments including backup, HA, and DR strategies.
• Monitor and tune database performance using industry-standard tools.
• Implement data security measures and access controls across environments.
• Automate routine loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks for efficiency.
• Provide guidance on database design, migration, and integration projects.
