Job summary

NAOVI is seeking a Systems Architect to lead enterprise architecture in a federated IT environment, requiring US citizenship and an active TS/SCI polygraph for consideration. The role is onsite in Northern Virginia, with travel within 50 miles as applicable.

Responsibilities include maturing the EA practice, defining capability models and roadmaps, and coordinating with government agency teams to modernize the architecture while communicating strategic value to executives.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of relevant SI experience within the IC and a IT Bachelor's degree; college degree can substitute for years of experience.
• Experience creating current/target state and transition architectures across multiple technology domains.
• Knowledge of DoDAF/architecture frameworks and modeling methods.
• Experience with government agency architecture principles, standards, and reference architectures.
• Ability to prepare executive briefings and document costs, risks, and dependencies for reviews.
• Experience coordinating proposals with government agency engineering teams for architecture solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise architecture in a complex federated IT environment.
• Mature or establish an EA practice from startup conditions.
• Develop capability models, value streams, operating models, and investment framing.
• Define technology strategy, portfolio management, roadmaps, and modernization plans.
• Create architecture guidance, reference architectures, and exception processes.
• Communicate with executives and facilitate negotiations and stakeholder influence.
