Job summary

CenterPoint Energy, Inc. is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to define the architecture vision, principles, standards and roadmaps that align business needs with technology strategy. This role connects business and IT across domains, guiding architects to create reusable assets and consistent designs.

You will lead governance, model development, and technology roadmaps across cloud, data, security, and applications. Strong collaboration with stakeholders nationwide is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• TOGAF certification and experience with enterprise architecture governance.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms and infrastructure.
• Experience with architecture tools like LeanIX or iServer.
• Strong communication across business and IT stakeholders.
• Minimum 12 years IT experience with at least 7 in enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards, and roadmaps.
• Lead architectural reviews to ensure adherence to governance standards and policies.
• Develop reference models for functional, data, applications, and infrastructure architectures.
• Manage architecture governance structures and processes (e.g., Architecture Review Board).
• Communicate strategic themes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Guide Domain, Platform, and Solution Architects to consistent design and delivery.
• Identify opportunities for reuse and drive the technology roadmap alignment.
• Document standards for all architecture domains and refer to them in project consulting.
