Job summary

OpenArt is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build the enterprise platform powering teams and large-scale customers. You’ll own workspaces, RBAC, SSO, auditing, and multi-tenant backend/frontend systems.

You’ll work with founders to define enterprise-ready features, design scalable architectures, and ship secure, compliant tooling with a fast, low-bureaucracy culture. Hybrid in Bay Area; visa sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production-grade, scalable web apps.
• Strong design skills for APIs, multi-tenancy, and data models.
• Experience with enterprise security controls and compliance basics.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship core enterprise primitives: organizations/workspaces, RBAC, SSO/SAML, and audit logging.
• Build usage-based billing, invoicing, and payments supporting self-serve and enterprise procurement.
• Harden security and reliability to meet enterprise expectations (data isolation, access control, SOC2 groundwork).
• Create scalable backend architectures and multi-tenant APIs.
• Develop frontend admin, billing, and workspace management UIs (React/Next.js).
• Collaborate with founders, sales, and customers to turn requirements into features.
• Make pragmatic build-vs-buy decisions for infrastructure and clearly communicate trade-offs.
• Define enterprise engineering practices as the first hire and help grow the team.
