Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a technical school diploma, has 5 years of electrical/electronic experience, and familiarity with sonar, combat control, and electronic warfare gear; eligibility for a Secret clearance

Qualifications

• Technical school diploma required.
• 5 years' work-related experience in electrical/electronic systems.
• Experience with submarine tactical electronic equipment (SONAR, Combat Control, Electronic Warfare).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and construct major units, devices, or equipment.
• Conduct tests or experiments and analyze results to improve performance.
• Develop designs from general guidelines and specifications.
• Analyze technical data and select design layouts.
• Calculate design data, prepare layouts, parts lists, and procedures.
• Review drawings for design adequacy.
• Plan tests to evaluate equipment performance.
• Determine test requirements and procedures.
• Conduct tests using all instruments and report findings.
