Job summary

Motiva Enterprises LLC in Port Arthur, TX, seeks a Sr. Engineering Project Manager to lead complex capital and sustaining projects across refinery operations. You will drive cross-functional teams, manage scope, schedule and budgets, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

The role provides technical leadership, mentors the project team, and supports continuous improvement to enhance asset performance and reliability across the Port Arthur Manufacturing Complex.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing capital projects in a petrochemical, refining or heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Project Management experience working in a phased project process.
• Outstanding written and oral communication and critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with Process Safety Management - Management of Change.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple engineering capital and sustaining projects across refinery and manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, contractors and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and startup activities.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets and resource plans to support business and operational objectives.
• Monitor project performance, risks, changes and deliverables to ensure projects remain on time and within budget.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance for complex engineering and operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, environmental regulations and industry best practices.
• Support project value proposition development, cost forecasting and capital planning activities.
• Drive decision-making and problem-solving efforts related to engineering design, execution and functional integration.
• Review engineering deliverables, technical specifications and project documentation to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Mentor and coach project team members while promoting continuous improvement, collaboration and operational excellence.
