Job summary

Palo Alto Networks, Inc. is seeking an experienced Test Engineering leader to guide the SSE Solution and Next Gen Security initiatives for the Prisma SASE team.

Qualifications

  • 10-12 years of software development or Test Engineering experience in cybersecurity, Networking and related areas.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ yrs of experience building and leading a team of SDETs working on carrier/enterprise grade Network Security or Infrastructure products across geographies in fast moving, high growth environments.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of high-performing QA/Automation engineers. Drive team goals, performance reviews, and technical career growth.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and quality metrics for Prisma Access components (including Zero Trust Network Access, Cloud Secure Web Gateway, and Firewall-as-a-Service).
  • Participate in system design so that Quality is considered throughout the entire lifecycle of the Prisma SASE Feature Design and Development
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of scalable end-to-end AI Driven automation test frameworks (API, UI, network protocols, performance, and chaos testing)
  • Oversee test execution across CI/CD pipelines, ensure rapid regression testing, and act as a final sign-off authority for cloud production deployments.
  • Partner with Architecture, Product Management, and Operations to understand feature requirements, customer use cases, and cloud infrastructure scale challenges.
  • Track quality metrics (defect density, test coverage, build pass rates) and drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for field escalations to prevent issue recurrence.

Qualifications
Your Experience
  • 10-12 years of software development or Test Engineering experience in the cybersecurity, Networking and related areas
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ yrs of experience building and leading a team of SDETs working on carrier/enterprise grade Network Security or Infrastructure products across geographies in fast moving, high growth environments.
  • Experience with IPSec, BGP,DHCP and TCP/UDP Networking.
  • Experience with SASE technologies such as Zero Trust Network Access, SD-WAN, CASB and DLP.
  • 1+ years of hands‑on experience with driving AI transformation in Engineering by leveraging Agentic engineering, AI-assisted development workflows building deep familiarity with Claude, Cursor, Agentic Harnesses and Autonomous AI driven workflows.
  • Experience with Linux or Esxi Virtualization or Docker/Kubernetes or experience with Cloud Technologies such Aws/Azure/GCP is a huge plus
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast paced, innovative environment.
Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.

$144,400.00 - $233,675.00/yr
