Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a dynamic engineering leader to own the Salesforce Management Plane (SFMP), a framework built on safe-change principles that enables on-demand Day 2 production operations through REST APIs with guardrails and auditability.

You will mentor a distributed team of eight engineers, champion security-first ownership, drive observability, incident response and compliance metrics, and partner with Product to shape the SFMP roadmap and auto-discovery of service instances.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of engineering management experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Proven track record leading platform, infrastructure, or developer-tools teams with end-to-end ownership.
  • Strong technical grounding in production operations, REST API platforms, and security and access control, including RBAC and least-privilege principles.

Responsibilities

  • Champion AI-driven development practices and agentic workflows, helping engineers multiply velocity.
  • Partner with Product to drive the SFMP roadmap, including auto-discovery of service instances, operation-level access control, a central invocation engine, safe-change compliance, and multi-target execution.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of eight engineers, cultivating a culture of security-first ownership and operational excellence.
  • Champion observability, incident response, and compliance rigor, tracking metrics for adoption, production-access reductions, and system reliability.
