Job summary

Panorama Education seeks a Senior Engineering Manager, Platform to lead foundational capabilities such as shared services, core infrastructure, developer tools, and operational standards to keep the platform robust and scalable for growth and AI workloads.

You will partner with product leadership to align technical direction with strategic goals, oversee on-call/SRE practices, and drive security/compliance, monitoring, and cross-team collaboration to support secure, efficient infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years software engineering experience, including 5 years managing engineers.
• Proven ability to lead senior and staff engineers with clarity and trust.
• Hands-on technical credibility with AWS; Terraform and Kubernetes experience a plus.
• Experience partnering with product teams to deliver shared roadmaps and coordinating across engineering, security, and operations.
• Disciplined in delivery, scope management, and defining completion criteria.
• Focus on developer experience improvements such as CI/CD and internal tooling.
• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks like SOC 2 and FERPA, with data protection expertise.
• Experience with scalable monitoring and observability.
• Understanding of AI workload infrastructure demands and integration of AI tools.

About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER, PLATFORM leads the team responsible for the foundational capabilities that support the organization's products, including shared services, core infrastructure, developer tools, and operational standards. • Focus on developer experience improvements such as CI/CD and internal tooling tied to productivity and retention.
• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks like SOC 2 and FERPA, with expertise in data protection.
• Experience with scalable monitoring and observability.
• Understanding of AI workload infrastructure demands and integration of AI‑assisted tools and workflows.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is preferred.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Base salary range: $194,051 - $285,369 USD annually.
• Compensation includes annual bonuses or commissions, equity awards, and region-specific health and welfare benefits.
