Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners, on behalf of a manufacturer of temperature sensors, compression seal fittings, and cable/harness assemblies, seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead product design engineering from customer requirements through design validation and production release.

You will steer technical decisions, review detailed designs, and develop engineers while maintaining project delivery and product quality across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Progressive product design engineering experience with responsibility for complex technical decisions and design delivery.
• Engineering leadership experience managing people, priorities and multiple projects.
• Strong command of mechanical design, CAD, GD&T, materials, and verification methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team, establish priorities, allocate resources, and manage project commitments.
• Provide hands-on technical direction for product architecture, mechanical design, materials selection, tolerances, and design verification.
• Lead design reviews; challenge assumptions and resolve technical risks before release.
• Translate customer requirements into clear specifications and validation plans.
• Oversee drawings, bills of materials, design calculations, and design changes.
• Partner with sales and customers on technical feasibility and proposals.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality to improve manufacturability and support new product introduction.
• Build engineering capability through coaching and clear technical standards.
