Job summary

Moon is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Core Platform to lead a senior team responsible for the core platform including identity, tenancy, and payments APIs. You will drive architecture across authentication, multi-entity tenancy, and shared services while upholding engineering standards and design-system usage.

You will partner with the VP of Engineering and Principal Engineer to ensure reliable delivery, internal SLAs, and scalable APIs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering including managing platform or infrastructure teams.
• Deep distributed systems, API design, and database experience; payments or fintech experience a strong plus.
• Has run platform-as-product: internal customers, SLAs, versioned contracts.
• Sets a high bar for talent and for standards; fast pace with discipline.

Senior Engineering Manager, Core Platform

$270,000 – $330,000 per year

Role Overview

You will lead the team that builds Moon's core platform: auth and identity, multi-entity tenancy, entitlements, payments and financing APIs, cross-platform communication services, and the common shared services every module team consumes. Core Platform also owns engineering standards across the application: your team enforces them through code review and ensures proper use of the design system via Storybook.

About the role

• You will join leading a small, senior team, reporting to the VP of Engineering and partnering daily with the Principal Engineer on the contracts, reliability, and data architecture that let small teams ship continuously without colliding.

What you'll do
