Job summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a results-driven Project Manager in Salt Lake City to oversee the engineering design of large transmission and distribution capital projects. You will manage initiation, planning, execution, control, and closeout with minimal supervision, building project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.

Interface with users, vendors, and senior leadership to maintain schedule and budget. The role demands strong communication, vendor management, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• At least five years of related professional experience.
• Proficient in scheduling, tracking and reporting methodologies.
• Knowledge of financial principles to quantify costs and benefits.
• Familiarity with PMI project management techniques or equivalent.
• Experience managing vendors/contractors to meet scope and schedule.
• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to guide teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze information and craft practical solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and management of large capital projects from initiation to closeout.
• Assemble and direct cross-functional project teams and define schedules and milestones.
• Develop detailed project plans, scopes, and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate external vendors, contracts, and change management with stakeholders.
• Provide progress updates to senior management per the communications plan.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and governance standards.
• Mentor junior project managers and engineers.
