Job Description and Duties

Supervise the Riverine Stewardship Engineering Unit within the Statewide Restoration Initiatives Branch. Oversee engineers designing and implementing restoration projects such as river and floodplain habitat enhancement, fish passage improvements, and green infrastructure. Coordinate with consultants and internal teams to develop strategies for anadromous fisheries, riverine areas, and floodplain/riparian habitats. Build partnerships and foster collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies, Tribal governments, water rights holders, landowners, and community groups.

Special Requirements
  • Valid California Driver’s License (CDL) with full driving record. Provide license number, class, expiration, and endorsements or restrictions.
  • California Professional Engineer License (PE). Provide a copy of the license prior to hire.
