As a Ridgeline Senior Software Engineer on our Trading Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in building complex, high-quality applications for our Trade Order Management solution. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies—and harnessing the power of AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT—you’ll help shape an industry-defining platform from the ground up, all while collaborating in a creative, fast-paced environment. Here, your passion for both engineering and the financial domain will make a meaningful impact on the future of investment management technology.

Joining the Ridgeline Trading team means contributing to a culture of innovation, leveraging modern AI-driven solutions to enhance development processes, shaping our product and processes, and leaving a lasting legacy in an industry primed for transformation. Responsibilities
  • Apply trading domain knowledge, financial quantitative expertise, and technical skills to create solutions where design, strategy, and engineering closely intersect.
  • Be involved in the entire software development process, from requirements and design reviews as we undergo asset class expansion throughout the whole platform.
  • Shape and optimize a tech stack leveraging AWS back-end services to power robust, scalable applications.
  • Participate in the creation and construction of developer-based automation that leads to scalable, high-quality applications customers will depend on to run their businesses.
  • Advocate design and development best practices in a pragmatic manner.
  • Coach, mentor, and inspire teams of product engineers that are responsible for delivering high performing, secure enterprise applications.
  • Think creatively, own problems, seek solutions, and communicate clearly along the way.
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment rooted in learning, teaching, and transparency.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in a software engineering with a history of architecting and designing new products and technologies.
  • In depth knowledge in Java or Kotlin and Spring/Springboot.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience of applying Design Patterns, OOAD/SOLID principles and writing automated unit tests.
  • Strong motivation to explore and adopt new technologies while independently navigating complex codebases.
  • Finds joy and satisfaction in working with motivated/supportive engineers to build impactful solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an aptitude for tackling technical challenges.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • A positive attitude with a serious interest in having fun at work.
Additional Desired Experience
  • Experience engineering in buy-side order management systems.
  • Working knowledge of complex financial instruments and their valuations.
  • Background in mathematics.
Benefits

E.O. salary range: $168,000 – $210,000. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed.

Ridgeline offers a range of benefits including unlimited vacation, educational and wellness reimbursements, and $0 cost employee health insurance plans. Employees may participate in the Company Stock Plan subject to the applicable Stock Option Agreement.
