Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences Gruppe is seeking a Senior Engineer to act as a technical SME for Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies. You will partner with internal teams and suppliers to ensure designs meet user needs, ease of use, manufacturability, and cost targets.

You will lead supplier development, validation, and manufacturing integration from concept through launch, drive DFx, and oversee design control and Catalyst processes to ensure compliant, timely project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or scientific fields. 4 years of experience in new product development, process development, commercialization, and/or operations engineering in a highly regulated environment.
• Master's degree in engineering and/or MBA is preferred.
• Experience in medical device new product development, including design optimization and progression to commercialization.
• Background in interventional devices, rapid product development, component manufacturing, or complex assembly design.
• Hands-on catheter manufacturing processes knowledge (extrusions, braiding, molding, laser welding, bonding).
• Knowledge of DFM, GD&T, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead successful commercialization of next-gen medical devices by driving supplier development, validation, milestone builds, and manufacturing integration from concept through product launch.
• Serve as a technical leader in NPD, partnering with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to translate designs into scalable manufacturing solutions.
• Promote DFM considerations early in development to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Drive collaboration with strategic suppliers to develop advanced manufacturing processes and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Provide engineering guidance through design reviews, risk assessments, and process capability evaluations.
