Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Software Engineer with a DevSecOps background to support the Cert DevOps pipelines and software life cycle. You will implement new capabilities, optimize existing tools, and collaborate across teams to onboard the Cert DevOps technology.

Ideal candidates have a STEM degree and 5+ years of experience, plus experience across the software lifecycle and scripting with Python or similar languages.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with minimum 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years experience
• Experience across all software engineering lifecycle phases including certification.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Experience in all aspects/phases the software engineering product lifecycle to include all phases of certification.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with DevSecOps.
• Experience with: GitLab, Git, CMake, MinGW, LynxOS, Coverity, Artifactory, Docker, Vista.
• Experience with scripting languages: Python, Robot, Lava.
• Experience with SW Harness Testing and Adaption (PySMART, Rapitest, Etc..)
• Experience with AI technology for automation enhancements.
• Experience in detailed technical writing for solution adopters.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
