Aerospace is at a turning point — costs are rising, supply chains are strained, and old ways of building can’t keep up. At Neon Aero, we’re breaking that mold. We move fast, think big, and combine start‑up agility with aerospace expertise to design, build, and scale aircraft in ways the industry has never seen. Our team leverages automation, AI‑driven tools, and a fully connected digital backbone to accelerate innovation and reduce barriers to production.

Here, you won’t just take a job — you’ll help reinvent how the world flies. If you’re ready to solve complex problems, push technology further, and work alongside some of the brightest minds in aerospace, this is your chance to make a real impact.

Neon is seeking a Senior Engineer – Propellers to lead key engineering work across propeller system design, analysis, certification, and production support. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex mechanical and aerospace problems, working closely with manufacturing and suppliers, and helping bring high‑performance hardware from concept into production.

Why This Role Matters
  • Lead critical propeller system engineering work across development, certification, and production support.
  • Help shape technical direction through requirements definition, trade studies, and design evaluation.
  • Improve product performance, manufacturability, and readiness for production.
  • Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve issues and keep programs moving.
  • Work in a fast‑paced development environment with meaningful ownership and cross‑functional impact.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (equivalent professional experience may be considered).
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in engineering design, analysis, and development of mechanical or aerospace systems.
  • Understanding of full lifecycle product development, including design, testing, certification, and production support.
  • Ability to define requirements, support compliance planning, and evaluate design alternatives.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional engineering teams, manufacturing, and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with analytical modeling, aerodynamic CFD analysis, structural modeling, CAD design, engineering drawings, GD&T, and model‑based definition.
  • Strong engineering judgment, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Interest in mechanical systems, aircraft, and manufacturing.
  • Ability to work in office, lab, manufacturing, and other technical environments as needed.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to comply with export control, ITAR, and related security requirements.
Preferred
  • Experience concepting, designing, and introducing a system into production.
  • Experience supporting or transitioning a design into a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical hands‑on experience in prototype, test, manufacturing, or related engineering support environments.
  • Familiarity with propeller systems or rotating mechanical systems.
Why Join Us
  • Work alongside elite engineering talent and innovators from across aerospace and tech.
  • Be part of a team moving faster than the industry standard.
  • Shape solutions that are lower‑cost, autonomous, and scalable — the future of aviation.
  • Competitive compensation, including equity participation, growth opportunities, and full health benefits (health, vision, dental, 401(k)) designed to support you in and out of work.
