Job summary

Venture Global LNG seeks a Senior Production Engineer, Liquefaction, to join our Integrated Production Excellence team in Plaquemines, LA. The role reports to the Senior Director of Production Engineering and focuses on optimizing the Availability and Performance of the PQ Facility LNG Trains.

Responsibilities include setting daily targets, building real-time models, analyzing deviations, and driving reliability improvements to maximize LNG rundown.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Process or related Engineering field required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Engineer, preferably in Production Engineering.
• Experience in pre-treatment required.
• Experience supporting commissioning activities.
• Oil and Gas experience is required, LNG preferred.

• Set daily targets for PQ Facility LNG Trains and define operating limits.
• Build and maintain real-time surveillance and monitoring models for availability and performance.
• Analyze deviations from live envelope limits and propose actions to maximize LNG rundown.
• Identify short-, medium-, long-term reliability improvements to maximize rundown.
• Identify production risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Contribute to weekly/monthly production reviews and action follow-ups.
• Document production losses and engage stakeholders to maximize availability and reliability.
• Lead or participate in Engineering Investigations and Management of Change as needed.
• Input to forecast and annual delivery plan; support LTSA processes.
• Develop Integrated Production Excellence standards and procedures.

Summary

We are seeking a Senior Production Engineer, Liquefaction to join our Integrated Production Excellence team. This position will be located in Point Celeste, LA with other sites if needed.

This position with report to the Senior Director of Production Engineering.

This role will be responsible for optimizing the Availability and Performance of the Plaquemines Facility LNG Liquefaction Trains and support the overall PQ Facility Production System Optimization efforts.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• Set PQ Facility LNG Trains Production daily targets, define operating limits and engage with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to develop the Production Plan for the day.
• Build and maintain Real time, online, surveillance and monitoring models to optimize the Availability and Performance of the PQ Facility LNG Liquefaction Trains
• Perform Analysis to detect deviations from Live Operating Envelope Limits and identify the actions required to safely and reliably maximize LNG rundown.
• Identify short-, medium- and long-term Availability and Reliability improvement initiatives to maximize LNG rundown using insights from Real time System and Physics-based/data-driven models.
• Identify Production risks that could impact Availability and Reliability and develop mitigation plans to address them
• Provide input to the weekly and monthly Production reviews and follow up on any actions required to improve the performance of the PQ Facility LNG Trains
• Identify the PQ Facility LNG Trains production loss events and engage with the relevant stakeholders (including but not limited to Engineering, Maintenance, Operations) to review, validate, report and manage production losses in a timely manner to maximize Availability and Reliability
• Lead or be part of EIRs (Engineering Investigation Requests) and MoCs (Management of Change) required to improve the PQ Facility LNG Trains performance.
• Lead or be part of the PQ Facility LNG Trains Production loss RCAs when required.
• Gather the required assumptions on LNG Trains performance and provide timely input to the Forecast and Annual Delivery Plan process.
• Support the Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) process and provide all the required input and analysis as required
• Support the development of Integrated Production Excellence standards and procedures.
• Capture Lessons Learned from the PQ Facility and provide input to other Venture Global LNG projects / sites as required

Qualifications

Required experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Process or related Engineering degree required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working as an Engineer, preferably in Production Engineering
• Experience in pre-treatment required
• Experience supporting commissioning activities
• Oil and Gas experience is required, withstrong preferencein LNG, however, petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing experience may be acceptable.
