Abbott is seeking a Senior Engineer, Product Stewardship in Sylmar, CA to evaluate materials and regulate product compliance for cardiovascular devices. The role requires in-depth knowledge of global regulations and collaboration with R&D to identify risks and ensure program execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or related scientific discipline.
• Advanced degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related scientific discipline preferred.

Responsabilités

• Ensure compliance with the Product Stewardship program and global regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate materials and chemical compositions for regulatory impacts in medical devices.
• Support material risk assessments and collaborate with R&D during material selection and design changes.
• Provide technical guidance on substitutions and compliance strategies.
