Job summary

Presidio is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who will lead enterprise cloud transformations across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will design, automate, and deploy modern hybrid infrastructures, enabling resilient and cost-optimized environments.

You will mentor teams, drive Terraform-based IaC, and ensure CIS/NIST compliant security, while collaborating on design docs, runbooks, and implementation plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8–10+ years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience, with 5+ years in cloud infrastructure design and automation.
• Strong Terraform for IaC (modules, workspaces, state management, and CI/CD integration).
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking, identity, compute, storage, and security services in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proven experience executing data center or application migrations to cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows Server administration.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and hybrid connectivity solutions (ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, VPN, SD-WAN).
• Understanding of modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Strong documentation and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Develop and optimize Terraform modules and pipelines for provisioning, configuration management, and policy enforcement.
• Automate deployments using Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Perform discovery and assessment with tools like Flexera, Device42, Cloudamize, and native cloud utilities.
• Drive migrations for IaaS, PaaS, and containerized workloads with performance and security considerations.
• Collaborate to design Cloud Design Documents, runbooks, and implementation plans.
• Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, logging, monitoring, CIS/NIST compliance.
• Troubleshoot and optimize environments for performance, scale, and cost.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to reusable assets and automation frameworks.

The Role

Presidio is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with hands-on implementation experience to support large-scale enterprise cloud transformation initiatives. In this role, you will lead the design, automation, and deployment of modern hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)-empowering our clients to achieve resilient, scalable, and cost-optimized environments.

You will serve as a technical leader and mentor, guiding delivery teams and clients through complex modernization and migration programs. Your expertise in Terraform-based Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), cloud networking, security best practices, and automated deployments will be critical to building enterprise-grade environments that accelerate cloud adoption.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Terraform modules and pipelines for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and policy enforcement.
• Automate deployments and operational workflows using Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Execute discovery and assessment activities using tools such as Flexera, Device42, Cloudamize, and native cloud utilities.
• Drive migration execution for IaaS, PaaS, and containerized workloads, ensuring performance, security, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and PMs to design and document Cloud Design Documents (CDDs), runbooks, and implementation plans.
• Implement and enforce cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, logging, monitoring, and compliance with CIS and NIST standards.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and optimize environments for performance, scalability, and cost.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Presidio's reusable assets, templates, and automation frameworks.

Required Skills and Professional Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• 8-10+ years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience, with 5+ years in cloud infrastructure design and automation.
• Strong expertise with Terraform for IaC (modules, workspaces, state management, and CI/CD integration).
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking, identity, compute, storage, and security services in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience developing policy-as-code with Sentinel or OPA/Rego.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Prometheus/Grafana.
