Job summary

Ultimate Staffing Services in San Jose, CA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for an onsite, 12-month contract to support new product development projects.

You will lead the setup and testing of fixtures and equipment, develop LabVIEW software, and author work instructions and inspection procedures. A BS in engineering and 2+ years of experience are required; on-site role with ISO PPAP exposure is preferred.

Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering - Onsite (JN -072026-427470) San Jose, California

Salary: USD77.64 - USD77.64 per hour

Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Onsite

Pay Rate: $77.64/hr.

Start/End Dates: 9/1/2026 - 8/31/2027

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will support New Product development projects by:

• Leading and executing the purchase, assembly, installation, and testing of custom or off the shelf manufacturing equipment and fixtures
• Developing custom inspection fixtures/equipment including mechanical setup, LabView software development, and machine learning
• Authoring manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, attribute charts, PPAP documents
• Creating prints for components used for product repair
• Coordinating and troubleshooting incoming inspection / FAI of product components
• Setting up manufacturing lines for product repair and inspection

This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. Job requires an understanding and application of engineering knowledge. This role typically requires a university degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience with a minimum of 2 or more years of experience. The duration of this contract is a minimum of 12 months with a possibility of extension.

• Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
