Job summary
Microchip Technology Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Engineer II-Contract Manufacturing Operations to own and improve performance across US contract manufacturing partners for high-technology electronics products.
You will drive capacity, quality, cost, delivery and NPI scale-up with cross-functional teams in Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering and Procurement. The role emphasizes leadership of production plans, KPIs, and continuous improvement using SPC/DOE, while coordinating QBRs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
- 7.5–10 years in high-technology manufacturing with contract manufacturing experience.
- Deep knowledge of PCBA manufacturing (SMT, thru-hole) and system integration.
- Lean/Six Sigma methods (DOE, SPC, FMEA) and data-driven improvements.
Responsibilities
- Own operational performance of contract manufacturers and ensure on-time delivery.
- Lead manufacturing process engineering for PCBA and box build.
- Plan and execute NPI and production scale-up with CMs.
- Coordinate cross-functional problem solving and QBRs.
