Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced engineer to support PCIe and USB products, review schematics and block diagrams, and guide driver development. You will assist Field Sales and customers, create user-friendly collateral, and identify gaps in enablement material while proposing high-level requirements for product teams.

The role emphasizes embedded development, C/C++/Python expertise, and a strong Linux/build process background, with a focus on enhancing customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • 7.5+ years of relevant experience in embedded systems or hardware-software roles.
  • Strong knowledge of C, C++, Python and embedded languages.
  • Experience with Linux and build processes, driver development and debugging.

Responsibilities

  • Support PCIe and USB products and drive customer enablement.
  • Review schematic and block diagrams for USB and PCIe with Microchip products.
  • Provide driver debugging and development guidance for PCIe products.
  • Answer questions from Field Sales engineers and customers during development.

Job description

  • Supporting PCIe and USB products
  • Reviewing schematic and block diagrams for USB and PCIe communication systems using Microchip products
  • Providing driver debugging and development guidance for PCIe products
  • Answering questions from Field Sales engineers and customers during the development process
  • Creating collateral that improves the user experience for the user
  • Identifying gaps in the current enablement material and proactively setting goals to address the gaps observed while supporting customers
  • Creating high level requirements for the development teams that can improve the customer experience with new product development
Requirements
  • Bachelors of Science or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
  • At least 7.5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of various programming languages, including C, C++, Python and other embedded languages
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and the building process
  • Strong experience in customer support and customer enablement
  • Knowledge of embedded processor development flow and ecosystems
  • Knowledge of PCIe Driver development and debug processes
  • Knowledge of PCIe and USB signaling and general packet inspection techniques
