CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to lead Master Systems Integration of building management systems (BMS), build control databases, and create user interfaces per project specifications.

You will provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers, perform field startup and system commissioning, and ensure software and control programs are installed according to plan. This role sits within CBRE's Software Engineering function and involves delivering projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical or Software Engineering preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Core knowledge in four of the following: Building Management Systems, Niagara-Required, DistechControls, BuildingAutomation protocols (BACnet, Modbus), HVACControls, ITNetworking, Commissioning, Troubleshooting.

• Isolate and troubleshoot escalated problems and take corrective action.
• Document problem resolution and report findings to Project team.

About the Role:

Provideon-site and remote technical support to installers and customers. Performsfield startup and system commissioning tasks as well as the remote installationof software and control programs.

This job is part of the SoftwareEngineering job function responsible for delivering projects on a global scale for large enterprise clients usingindustry leading technologies and processes.

What You’ll Do:

• Create complex programming using flowdiagrams, sequences of operations and panel layouts.
• Perform programming of control applicationsusing various software tools.
• Perform job-site system checkout,commissioning, and testing of control applications.
• Confirm proper operation according toproject specifications, sales proposal, and design documentation.
• Approve and develop system graphicdisplays, according to project specifications or sales proposal.
• Provide on-site and remote technicalsupport to installers and customers.
• Perform advanced system evaluation anddiagnostics.

• Coordinates system installation withinstalling contractors at job site as required.

• Supportthemanagement of softwaretools.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's Degree in HVAC, Electrical,Mechanical or Software Engineering preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination ofexperience and education will be considered.
• Understanding of existingprocedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Must possess core knowledge in a minimum of four of the following:
• BuildingManagement Systems

• BuildingAutomation protocols (BACnet, Modbus)
• HVACControls
• ITNetworking
• Commissioning
• Troubleshooting
• Travelrequirement is up to 50% of your annual time. Trips will be overnight up to a weeklong. Back-to-back travel weeks are not normal.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Software Engineer position is $96,500 annually [or $46.39 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Software Engineer position is $115,500 annually [or $55.52 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
