Job summary

Helios in New York City is seeking a Staff/Senior Software Engineer for Document Intelligence & Data Infrastructure to design, operate, and scale ingestion, extraction, and publication pipelines across languages and jurisdictions.

You will own end-to-end pipelines from source discovery through normalization, enrichment, and publication, collaborating with the CTO and founding team in a fast-moving, on-site environment. This role is based in SoHo, NY, five days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience building large-scale ingestion and document-processing systems in production.
• Familiarity with multilingual data pipelines and governance considerations.
• Background in distributed computing and data processing architectures.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate acquisition and processing infrastructure that turns multilingual public-sector data into AI-ready intelligence.
• Own end-to-end pipelines from source discovery to publication, including extraction, enrichment, and publication steps.
• Scale ingestion and document-processing platforms for new countries, languages, and source formats.
• Maintain data contracts, provenance, and lineage across complex formats.
