Job summary

Raymond James is seeking a software engineer to join the eFolioPlus development team in a hybrid work model. You will design, code, test, implement, and maintain data-driven, multi-tier applications using Angular, .NET, Oracle, and SQL Server in a production environment.

You will analyze requirements, lead tasks, propose new technologies, and collaborate across teams to deliver on time and within budget, with on-call responsibilities and occasional non-standard shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of design, development, and support of scalable data‑driven multi‑tier apps.
• Experience through the SDLC: definition, design, development, testing, implementation.
• Experience with .NET Core and .NET Framework is required.
• Front-end framework (Angular, React, Node.js) a plus.

• Familiarity with batch/job‑processing systems.
• Financial Services or regulatory environment experience is preferred.

Note: This position follows our hybrid-friendly schedule, so you get the best of both worlds - flexibility and collaboration. In office days are 3 days per week (including a Monday or Friday), in our St Petersburg, FL or Memphis, TN Corporate Office.

Job Description

As part of the eFolioPlus development team, this individual will be involved in the full systems life cycle based and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Handles complex problems independently and demonstrates analytical thinking. Can make judgements and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Candidate will work on the development of in-house and home-grown applications in an Angular, .NET, Oracle and SQL Server environment.
• Develop existing applications and contribute to development of new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
• Analyzes system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and sub systems.
• Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or to reuse of existing code.
• May lead assigned projects, including assigning tasks, coordinating efforts, and monitoring performance.
• May recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities. Remains current with new technologies.
• Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
• Provides technical advice and assists in solving programming problems.
• Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements and flow charts.
• Reviews test results; documents test activities and records remedial actions.
• Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
• Using company approved AI code generation/testing tools will be encouraged for greater efficiency.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications/Previous Experience

Three (3) to five (5) or years of experience in Design, Development and Support of Data-Driven, highly scalable multi-tier applications.

• Experience in the software development life cycle including product definition, design, development, testing, and implementation.
• Experience with .NET technologies such as .NET Core, .NET Framework is required.
• Front-end framework (Angular, React, Node.js) a plus.
• Cloud (AWS, Google, Azure), and CI/CD toolsets (Jenkins, GIT, Azure DevOps) a plus.
• Working with Agentic AI.
• Familiarity with batch/job-processing systems.
• Exposure to fixed‑income or capital‑markets data a plus, not required.
• Financial Services or regulatory environment experience is preferred.
