Job summary

Trane Technologies, a world leader in climate solutions, is seeking a Senior Engineer for Thermo King to advance power integration and engine system development. You will provide application and system engineering support, primarily with engines, while exploring fuel cells, generators, and electric motors in a global context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent from a four-year college or university.
• Engine and aftertreatment experience.
• Understanding of fuels/oils/coolants.
• Understanding or capability of engine or system modeling.
• Proficient in designing tests, analyzing, and providing technical reports.
• Demonstrated knowledge of emission regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the application, integration and validation of engine systems and interfaces.
• Coordinate technical efforts with engine suppliers, designers, technicians, and cross-functional teams.
• Support and evaluate control system and electrical integration for engines and Thermo King products.
• Utilize predictive modeling and simulation and correlate with testing results.
• Own validation of design durability and root cause analysis through DFMEA/DVPR and data mining.
• Report on Transport Refrigeration Unit emissions for US products.
• Travel up to 2 weeks domestically/internationally; ~10% travel.
